Opening of School 2025-26
On Thursday, August 21, we will host an Open House from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Please come meet our staff and tour our school and classrooms, while also learning more about the benefits of being designated a Title 1 school.
Our first day of school will be Monday, August 25. Our school day begins at 8:45 and ends at 3:05. We look forward to seeing all students arriving at school on time. For those parents who drive their children to school, please arrive between 8:15 and 8:45. We will begin dismissal at 2:55 during the first week of school, and at 3:00 the remainder of the school year.
For students in our blended Pre-K program, your child’s teacher will be contacting you to schedule a beginning of the year visit. Our students will begin their school year with a staggered entry, attending on either Thursday, August 28 or Friday, August 29. The first full day for the whole class will be Tuesday, September 2.

Updated Diet and Medication Orders for your child are due by the first day of school. If we do not have this information on file, current for this school year (dated no earlier than June 1, 2025) we will not be able to serve your child without your assistance here at school. Forms are available on the Haynes-Inman website (http://www.gcsnc.com) or can be picked up at school.
